Devin had the pick this week and he went with the lesser-known pop-punk/easycore band Daggermouth from Vancouver BC. Also, poison ivy (the rash not the villain), flipped canoes and Matt's secret past as a video-girl! Lots to talk about on this epiosde of Onetm! Thanks for listening along!

This week on Onetm Matt and Devin discuss Matt's final pick for an All-Canadian July: The Coast by Toronto rock-punk band Pup. As well as a couple well guarded stories from Matt, did you know he almost talked to John K. Samson but elected rather to sit in awkward silence. Riveting. All this and lots more on Onetm!

Devin takes the reins once again, this time selecting an iconic Canadian punk band: Propagnadhi. To ease Matt in, he chose the track Gifts, off the 1996 record Less Talk, More Rock. This album is unique in that it was written with the intension of scaring away the band's more homophobic and anti-femenist fans sacrificing mass appeal to weed out an undesirable audience. Gifts, on the other-hand, is basically a Weakerthans song. So we encouage you to listen along! And we also reference an interview with CBC's Q where Chris Hannah of the band talks about the intent of the record. I suggest checking that out too! Again thank you so much for listening.

Today's episode starts the Canadian-only-July. Matt selected a track off of Moneen's second studio album: Under the Red Tree. The song title is Don't Ever Tell Locke What He Can't Do. If you've never heard Moneen or any of the early 2000's Burlington/St Catherines Ontario Emo, this is a great place to start! And as always check out Onetm on Tiktok and email them at onetrackmindspodcast@gmail.com. Enjoy the show!

On todays episode Devin selected one of his favourite tracks of all time, Interview at the Ruins, off the incredibly dark and deep As the Roots Undo by Circle Takes the Square. As usual, Matt is up for the challenge as he dives into this, often heard of, never listend-to album. Thanks to everyone for listening and listening along with the track the hosts select! We added audio clips to the format, let us know why you love it at onetrackmindspodcast@gmail.com AND Onetm is on Tik Tok! Search Onetmpod!

Today Matt selected Limelight off the 2020 album Lament, by Touche Amore. This is a modern classic in the realm of post-hardcore/emo. If you are 35 years of age or older, please be advised: your mortality may be called into question. I hope you listen along and love the record as much as the hosts!

This episode of One Track Minds is a bit of filler as Devin and Matt decided to skip last week's selection in light of a controversy with the band. But if you ever wanted to know about what TV shows Devin is watching, or get the inside scoop on Matt's adventures in Little League, well do I have the show for you! They will return next week with a new song, ready to chew on all the Emo/Hardcore/Punky goodness. Thanks so much for tuning in!

It has been a crazy few weeks and apperently a crazy few years for Matt; regardless Devin and Matt came together to finally discuss Bark Like a Dog by Screeching Weasle. Matt chose this album based on the track Cool Kids, and it feels like he did so nearly a lifetime ago. But now the boys are back on track for next week! Thank you for waiting while real life was sorted out.
